OPR Eddlestone: 9 May 1716, Thomas Grosart and Margaret Greig, both in this parish gave up their names for proclamation in order to marriage, Stephen Brown cautioner for both the bridegroom and the bride, and were proclaimed pro temp sabbath May 6th, pro 2nd Sabbath May 13th pro 3rd Sabbath May 20th and were married at eddlestone 2nd day of June by James Robertson minister there.
Birth - not proved. A James Grosset was also having sons and as they named their first child James, Thomas could easily be the son of James.
Baptisms for Agnes, Archibald and Margaret are children of Thomas and unnamed spouse so might be second wife.There was a marriage of Thomas G to Marion Pratsell in June 1724 but no identifying info is recorded.
