Their children were all baptised in the Ang. Ch. in Tavistock where he was the miller at Newton Mill. He died in 1851. Death record in St. Catherine's house records, 2nd Quarter, 1851, Tavistock, but have not ordered the certificate to confirm.
In 1851 census, he was the miller at Lumbern, near Lamerton and Tavistock, age 54, employing 1 boy and 4 men. His niece, Honor Gale, sister to my William Gale, was living with them. He was now spelling his name Daw.

Death: St Caths Vol XX P. 365 Q2, dies at Lumborn aged 54, Hypertrophy of the heart of many months.
