Immigration: to SA on the "Trafalgar" which left Plymouth 6 Mar 1854, arriving Adelaide 28 Jun 1854. Stated as farm labourer of Cornwall. Accompanied by his wife aged 18.
Immigration: to SA on the "Trafalgar", which left Plymouth 6 Mar 1854, arriving Adelaide 28 Jun 1854. He was listed as a farm labourer of Cornwall. He was accompanied by his wife, whose age was age 18.
According to Wendy Taylor: John Way and Sarah Daw were probably married at Wendron, Cornwall. This is also stated on birth certificate of their daughter Martha. However, I have been unable to find an index record on the St Catherine's House indexes. Note they were cousins.
Occupation given as labourer on birth certificate of daughter Louise (1855 in SA); given as miner on birth certificate of daughter Martha (1875 NSW).
Died of "Chronic Prostatitis" and "Bronchitis Asthenia" aged 76. Buried in Parkes Cemetery.
