Wm Pate 38y of Mossilee, Galasheil married Mgt Bryson Barr 36y, of Sherriffside, Gifford on 20/6/1942 in Edinburgh. Witnesses Wm Pate of Fairmiln, Galasheils and Sarah W Barr of Sheriffside. (Wm the witness may be son of James Barr Pate)

Nephew John Pate of Marvingston,Gifford registered his death.
Took the tenancy of Mossilee in 1930. Hos sisters frist Annie and then Peggy kept house for him until he married Margaret (Maggie) Barr.
1945 he took the tenancy of Marvingston on the Yester estate. he later bought this farm. In 1979 he took his nephews John and George into partnership.
He spent his last 2 years in a nursing home in North berwick where Annie was already living. He was an Elder of Bolton church for over forty years.
Buried with his wife next to his parents and Annie in Yester churchyard.
