Peggy helped her parents at home and for a short spell Willie at Mossilee. When she returned to St Andrews she became an auxiliary nurse. She was an exceptional beautiful needlewoman ans sewed many lovely articles - she was also a fine baker but was better known for her sewing. After a long friendship with AJM (Sandy) Stewart of Stoneypath and Meiklerig, they married and lived with his sister Chrissie at Meiklerig. They had no famil and she died at an early age after a long illnesss.
