I have just got a copy of the marriage cert for my grandfather's sister Annie who married Michael Dobson on 9th May 1894. I thought it would pinpoint where the Robsons were between the 1891 and 1901 census returns. They were married at Bywell St Andrew and Annie was at a farm called Bearl which is south of Newton.I thought you would be interested that the witnesses were Michael's brother Robert John, Annie's sister Mary Hannah and Henry Tarbitt (2 T's). I presume this was Henry senior acting as her father as Thomas Robson died in 1882 although it does not show "deceased" which would have been confusing if I had not known. I wonder why your grandfather did not meet Michael until 1903 as he said in his diary?
