Notes for Renfry (Spouse 1)
It is certain that there must have been a vry close connection between the Arundell and Laherne families. Sir Oliver and Odo Arundell were parties to deeds with Sir Renfry in the latter part of Henry 11 and early part of Edw 1 reign. Lawrence de Arundell appears to have had ward of Ralph son and heir to Sir Oliver.
Ped. Fin. 52 Hen. III, No. 1. [1268]
Dean and Chapter of Exeter.
It is probable that Sir Renfry married 2 wives, the first being Joan, daughter of Sir Lawrence Dynesel, and that Otho and Lawrence Arundell were issue of the first wife; there are various authorities for this.
