James took a B.Sc. at Glasgow and eventually settled in Cambridge and was a partner in Pye Wireless Works. He married Elizabeth Mills and had three children : James White Dalgleish, Ian Mitchell Dalgleish and Jane Elizabeth Dalgleish. JWD married 1957. Jean, who died of cancer, as did his first wife. Afterwards, lived with May (second name unknown).
