Registered the death of his father on 2nd June 1898 when he was shown to be living at 190 High Street, Dalkeith.
Registered the death of his sister Agnes at Dalkeith in March 1899, when he is shown to be of Campbell's Close, Dalkeith.
Was witness at the marriage of his brother George to Marion Hutchison at Dalkeith on 3rd December 1886.
Memorial Inscription St. Nicholas Old Kirk, Dalkeith states:-
"...John McKay Pryde died 21st June 1903 aged 36 years..."
